Mark Brunell is Jeff Fassero in shoulder pads

"The Redskins are actually starting Mark Brunell?"
-Everyone, two years ago
And whatd'ya know--the wiley, crafty, grizzled southpaw is still tossing those pretty, slow-moving, six-yard spirals two seasons later.
Line so far tonight: 8/19, 69 yds, 0TD, 1 INT, RAT: 30.4
All the grit, guile, and veteran savvy in the world can't make those numbers look good. Someone should tell Joe Gibbs it's not 1998 anymore.
And by the way, this has nothing to do with Jason Campbell being on my fantasy roster.

Just like my push for the lynching of Jake Plummer has nothing to do with Jay Cutler waitingly patiently on my fantasy bench.
...No really, it doesn't. My hatred for Jake Plummer is deep-seeded and probably unnatural.
...But getting Cutler some PT would be nice too.
Yeah, same here. Fantasy value aside, I just think it's insane that Mark Brunell continues to start for the 'Skins. Why did they even bother to sign Randle El? And for that much money? Has Brunell even found him once yet?
So I went back and found the original story about Randle El signing with the Redskins, and get this. According to the article, playing with a veteran quarterback (Brunell) was one of the big things that lured Randle El to Washington instead of Chicago.
Brunell's QB Rating: 67.7
Rex Grossman's Rating: 128.7
Whoops.
I vote that Pat never be allowed to say "bling bling" again.
