Instead of a song, how about we finish better than 117th against the run?

SI.com reports that Colorado State has dropped official sanction of a song formerly played at football games for one year. The song was supposed to be "the one tradition that CSU is known for nationwide," but was dropped because it referred to students at the Colorado School of Mines (CSU's former name) as drunkards and in the song a mother says she would rather see her son in Hell than at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
Ummm...what? I may not be the most educated, but I'd never heard of this song until I read this article.
The attached Youtube video is pretty nice because it has the song, and Olde Tyme black and white leather helmets footage from days of yore where men were men and dames wore skirts.
Lastly, as far as CSU not having anything their football program is known for nationwide should attribute this to their historic tradition of Mountain West Conference football. I mean, with storied rivalry games against football powers like San Diego State and UNLV, why shouldn't CSU tradition be considered in the same ranks as Texas A&M and Alabama? (sarcasm)

Man, I hate those UC-Boulder jerks so much! All smug with their mountains and whatnot.
