Man, Southern Miss Football has really gone south since Favre left.

The Southern Miss student newspaper reports a consoling message that even though Florida beat the Golden Eagles 34-7, last week in two simulations on EA Sports NCAA Football 07, Southern Miss did in fact pull off the upset both times.
"Real" stats are also included. Reading the article, it appears that this is the first in a series, and one can't really tell if they're kidding or not as to whether the game provides a reliable statistical backdrop/indicator of future performance in the real world. Yikes.

They should do it on Tecmo Super Bowl instead.
Actually, Southern Miss had a really solid program in the late 90's, early part of this century. I'm too lazy to actually look the numbers at this time, but I know they finished in the top 25 a few times.
