Link2Blogs Yay!!
>> Tuesday
You've probably all noticed that little box with the links to the random blogs below the archive links. Well I guess I'm supposed to plug it in a post according to their email. I have no idea why or what benefit it actually brings, but whatever--I'm a team player.
So if you have a blog, sign up for Link2Blogs! It's super-DUPER sweet!!
Actually, I kind of like it because, being in the sports category, we get links to mostly sports blogs, like this one. So yeah, click the links in the box because the more people click on our box, the more we get linked on other blogs.
You get?

When did we start having that thing on the site? What does it do? Did we sell out? Where am I?
Yeah, we sold out. I'm excited. Selling out means you're big. We should get together and have some champagne.
How are we one of the top baseball blogs? I could understand that during the summer when there was little football to talk about, but we've become more of a football blog recently, but our baseball ranking keeps going up.
If you actually click on that, you realize that "ranking" is a sham. I found that site and put the box on our blog mostly because it makes us look like we're somehow important.
The so-called "Top 100 Baseball Sites" is just from some goofy site where there's really only like 52 sites on the list. Well, I guess we're "better" than 23 of them. And it might be bringing us readers from those other blogs; who knows.
As far as the Link2Blogs thing, it just sort of cross-references us to and from other semi-related blogs. (I think I chose "culture" or something as one of our related categories, hence some of the oddball links.) But it's free, so I figured what the hell. Plus, "Beer, Guns, and Hockey" is a kickass blog.
Also, Mike and Nate--you both blog/have blogged on your own before. Do you know anything about how to use Technorati? I don't understand what it does, but whatever it does, we should be doing it.
Okay, I set us up with Technorati. The keywords I entered are as follows: Sports, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Athletics, Packers, Bears, White Sox, Cubs, Brewers, and Marquette.
If you have any other keywords you think would accurately portray our site, let me know and I'll add them. We can have up to 20.
Update: We just passed the Dale Murphy collectibles website to put us up to 25!
We're goin' straight to the top!
Maybe NFL, Neifi Perez, Tatum Bell(just joking on last two, although with me and Vinnie, I'm sure we'll keep harping on them).
