Your Yellow Chair All Stars, Featuring Mark Grudzielanek!

>> Tuesday

Posted about 5 minutes before the whole point becomes moot. We're on the cutting edge here at Yellow Chair. The baseball experts at YCS have come up with what we think the AL and NL rosters should look like, feel free to disagree and let thy voice go forth.

Please note: 'experts' is a relative term, and normal baseball go-to guy Vinnie didn't have any input on the team because Vinnie is a jerk and doesn't send emails to me when he should and therefore can shut up. Otherwise, the teams were compiled by Matt, Matt Z and Nathan and players were voted in on a two thirds majority basis. HOO-RAH!

National League All-Stars

Catcher
Starter: Paul Lo Duca - New York Mets
Reserve: Michael "The Golden Boy" Barrett - Chicago Cubs

First Base

Reserve: Lance Berkman - Houston Astros

You could basically switch these at your leisure, their numbers are virtually identical.

Special note: Nate voted for Todd Walker, and is therefore still a Cubs fan and a homer.

Third Base
Vote split three ways between:
David Wright - New York Mets (Zuch)
Scott Rolen - St. Louis Cardinals (Matt)

Who's right? Me. Otherwise, you be the judge.

There it is, kids, in what will most likely be the longest post ever on YCS. And if it's not, it will certainly be one of Sever's meandering posts about soccer.

P.S. What's the over/under on the length in minutes of whatever ridiculously sappy pre-game introduction ceremony they do this year?

P.P.S. I am willing to bet money in Vegas that the FOX cameramen will at some point catch Derrick Turnbow either sleeping or picking his nose.

Meandering? I prefer detailed. As verbose as I can be at times, I'm no Marcello Balboa, who assumes his audience has never heard of the sport and it's his job to explain that the ball is round.

PS: Put me down for 33 minutes of pre-game superfluousness.

PPS: I'd like to see Pat's all-star team, as I imagine it would be markedly different.

I didn't get no damned email. My team wasn't super different I guess. However, I did have...

Takashi Saito!!! The one deserving reliever from the NL. Seriously...look him up. He belonged more than any of your relievers.

(I hate saves.)
