Wade isn't the only Marquette alum in the NBA

Dwyane Wade won the Finals MVP by putting on a show that we haven't seen the likes of since Jordan.
We've already reported that Steve Novak is stealing the show among the rookies.
Now, Travis Diener is proving people like me wrong, people who said he was a great college player, but he's not NBA material.
Are the Steve Nash comparisions premature? Um, yes, just a little bit. Just cuz the two have similar floppy hair...but Nash is ugly. Diener is a pretty boy. Nash is also a nice guy. I think just about everyone on YCS can attest to the fact that Diener is an asshole.
Still, more recognition for the ol' alma mater is nice.

ESPN making premature, largely unjustified comparisons based on appearance? NEVER.
I'm just amazed they haven't compared him to Larry Bird just because he's white and has a jump shot yet.
I always thought Diener could have a Luke Ridnour type role in the NBA. And I wouldn't go as far to call him an asshole, more like a Big Man on Campus who acted the part, but wasn't a total jerk the few times I talked to him.
