Way to Go, Bob Brenley
>> Friday
Just now, after the Cardinals retired new Cubs acquisition Phil Nevin, Cubs color man Bob Brenley said, "For all of Nevin's struggles, he's still driven in more runs this year than anyone in the Cubs lineup."
I applaud Brenley's honesty in lauding the run production of a .216 hitter--unabashedly acknowledging the Cubs' remarkable shittiness. As it is, Nevin only has 31 RBIs (all with Texas of course). For the record, the Cubs' RBI leader is Jacque Jones with 29--or four more than Albert Pujols has homers.
On a related topic, let's predict how many home runs Albert Pujols will hit tomorrow against Glendon Rusch and subsequent relievers (after Rusch gets knocked out in the third inning). My submission: 3 off Rusch and a total of 8 for the game, doubling the current record and giving him 33 for the year to up his 162-game pace to 99 homers. Man, that's gonna be hearbreaking when the season ends with Pujols one homer short of triple digits.

Following controversy: Should Pujols' 99 home runs be stricken from the record book because he had so many games against Cub pitching? I mean, steroids can do wonders, but facing Jerome Williams in Wrigley is just unfair.
I'm impressed with your site, very nice graphics!
