I hope all of our readers (and our posters, for that matter - Vince, I'm lookin' at you) got a chance to watch Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday night. What a kickass game. In case you missed it, Edmonton won with a shorthanded goal in OT, and the whole game was just flat out awesome.
Granted, I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to the Canadian version of soccer, but this game (game 4, too) was what hockey's all about, even if you're the most casual of fans.
Also, although I don't know why, for some reason I'm really rooting hard for Edmonton, maybe because that guy with the flaming red beard that plays for Carolina gives me the willies. YCS team member Patrick, on the other hand is rooting for Edmonton because he'll "be pissed as hell if a damn team from Carolina wins Lord Stanley's Cup."

Alas, I opted for "go to bed." However, I was very happy to hear that the series was extended so that I will be able to see the next game (and hopefully the next two, as like Pat, I am also a hockey purist that enjoys seeing Canadian teams overcome the currency exchange rate and win).
