Although Derek Jeter's an OK baseball player, this haircut has to go. Seriously, how tight is his death grip on the mid-90's fade that he won't change it? Jesus.
Also, despite his 15 hits tonight, I still think he's overrated.

Aside from his Sever-sized forehead, I was actually kind of surprised to not see zigzags or words shaved into the sides of his head.
What can you say--Derek's a throwback...to the mid-90s.
By the way, sort of semi-related...I hope someone else caught McCarver and Buck's little sob story of "well sure, the Yankees are an All-Star team now, but there was a stretch when Torre had to play Melkey Cabrerra and other guys without MVP trophies and private islands, and yet they managed to ride it out and here they are, miraculously in the playoffs, All Star team in tact."
This is infuriating. Aside from the fact that those fill-ins did pretty well on the whole, it completely disregards the fact that most teams--very good ones included--tend to have three or four guys in their lineup who aren't very good...or at least not good at hitting. The suggestion that the Yankees were at a disadvantage during that period is bull.
Rant over.
Melky Cabrera would be starting on most other MLB teams. In fact, he's one of the best outfield propsects I saw all season. However, that doesn't warm the heart like saying unheralded prospect saves the season.
