Cliff Floyd is a great guy in the clubhouse? Fantastic. I'm happy for him.

...However, Joe Buck, that doesn't mean he contributes anything on the field. But thanks for trying to sell me on "how important he is to this Mets team." (Buck went off with this theme for Floyd's entire first at-bat.)
I won't buy the idea that a guy who hit .244 and had a 91 OPS+ (100 is average) in 332 at bats made any contribution at all to a lineup featuring Carlos Beltran, David Wright, Jose Reyes, and Carlos Delgado.
Keep in mind that Floyd plays left field--a position where almost any generic fill-in could smoke that 91 OPS+. Oh, also keep in mind that Cliff Floyd moves around like Tony Bennett right now.
By the way, I think the WebMD-sponsored injury report with "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" playing in the background just might be the single tackiest thing in the history of tackiness. Thank you FOX for ruining baseball.

Do you mean Tony Bennett the dago singer or Tony Bennett former Packers defensive lineman circa the early 1990's? Ah hell, it works either way, neither one was all that mobile.
