Please, PLEASE don't fuck this up.

This is a plea to the bottom half of the Big Ten, and the top five countries in the nation. Do NOT rob us of a season-ending, 1 vs. 2 Michigan vs. Ohio State game.
Normally, it would be way too early to be looking forward to the end of the season. But this potential game would easily be the biggest college football game of our lifetimes. The biggest rivalry in college sports played at the highest stakes. They might as well play it live on ESPN Classics.
Michigan's remaining schedule before OSU:
at Penn State
*Iowa
*Northwestern
*Ball State
at Indiana
*In the Big House, and therefore a forgone conclusion.
Ohio State's remaining schedule before Michigan:
at Michigan State
Indiana
Minnesota
at Illinois
at Northwestern
Florida loses to Auburn this weekend, and USC loses AT LEAST one of the three-game stretch against Oregon, Cal and Notre Dame. That leaves Michigan at No. 2 and Ohio State at No. 1...yeah, I can't wait.
College football country, I'm putting you on notice. Don't fuck this up for the fans, and most importantly, me.

That would be amazing, yet as awesome as this game would be, wouldn't it make the bowls seem somewhat superfluous?
(Insert your favorite crack about many of the bowls already being superfluous here.)
This is college football. Without a playoff system (and therefore without a "Super Bowl" type of game) we are left to find the best game of the year on our own. Nine times out of ten, the USC/ND game last year would have been the game of the year.
The fact is that it is not uncommon for a regular season game to be the biggest game of the year.
As much as I hate the BCS system, as long is it is around I am willing to accept that many of the years' biggest games will be during the regular season. And rivalries mean EVERYTHING (except for Minnesota, who has a "trophy rivalry" with just about everyone).
Point is, in college football we are looking for the two best football teams pitted against each other.
This year, that game will not happen in a bowl game. It will happen in Columbus, Ohio.
The ultimate disappointment will be if the winner of the OSU/MU game goes on to lose the national championship. But even if that happens, the Wolverines/Buckeyes matchup will be remembered for years to come.
It is shaping up to be the game of the millineum (thus far).
...Remember when Pittsburgh won the Super Bowl and I chugged half a bottle of Jagermeister? That's kid's stuff compared to a No. 2 Michigan beating a No. 1 Ohio State.
...I've cum in my pants several times just thinking about this game
Well that's better than some of the other places you've been known to deposit your...oh the hell with it.
Also - That was the best picture you could find for the Michigan - OSU rivalry?
The picture is for da kids (wink, wink). Appropriate for me, no?
