This is a Weird Story

Apparently Drew Brees' mother is running for a judgeship in Texas and has been running ads that feature her super-famous son in them. Nice, right?
Not so much. Apparently, Drew Brees and his moms ain't got no dealin's with each other because he refused to hire her as his agent when coming out of college. Strange.
Stranger still is the fact that Brees has demanded he be removed from the ads and has even threatened legal action if his mother doesn't comply. Weiiiiird.

It's like Eminem or something. But with spirals instead of sweet rhymes.
But I know I'd vote for Drew Brees over his mom. Wait, what's this about again?
In other sports-politics news, I was disappointed to learn that former Nebraska head coach Rep. Tom Osborne (R-NE) will not be returning for the 110th Congress in January.
Turns out he lost the GOP gubernatorial primary because he won Omaha and Lincoln while his opponent won big in rural Nebraska.
Also turns out there's an "Urban Nebraska."
His mistake was not having Lawrence Phillips in campaign ads vouching for what a nice, forgiving, willing-to-cover-for-you kind of guy he is.
He could've also had Ahman Green appear all skaky and unmedicated talking about how voting Osborne would help his fumblitis.
Man, I hate myself for even thinking of that joke.
And it wasn't nearly funny enough to be worth it. I'm turning into Sever.
