So now...

...that Marquette beat Texas Tech last night, how far into the broadcast of tonight's CBE Classic Final between MU and Duke (and NOT the surely hoped-for Bobby Knight vs. Coach K showdown) will the ESPN2 broadcast team refer to last night's game as an "upset victory" or refer to the Warriors as a spoiler? Never mind that MU is ranked #13/#17 in the country, and Texas Tech is...not.

What are the odds we actually beat Duke?
MU is a 4.5 point dog tonight.......Duke likes to run, but so does MU. MU has more depth than Duke though -- look at the minutes played for the Dukies last night.
Still, MU wont match up well with McRoberts or Thomas
Damn. Seven minutes. Ask and ye shall receive. Thanks Marquette Hoops.
Honestly, even at ESPN, I can't imagine anyone in the media being that clueless. Anyone paying even a modest bit of attention to college ball should realize that we're much better than TTU this year.
Let's not try playing the "no one pays attention to us; we don't get the respect we deserve" card just yet. Dwyane Wade has made it impossible for us to be the team that no one's heard of.
Dominic James is getting national recognition as one of the best point guards in the nation.
Also, we're a young team that lost our top scorer from last year, and have to earn respect - especially after struggling to beat Hillsdale and needing overtime to beat Idaho State.
If we beat Duke, or even show that we belong on the same court, on national TV, we should get whatever respect we deserve.
