For the love of the game...
>> Saturday
This entry is for the sole purpose of preventing further entries. This Michigan/Ohio State is possibly the biggest college football game of our lifetimes, and I'll be damned if we clutter it with sentimental bullshit, overanalyzed predictions, or biased opinions (and I say this as a very, VERY biased fan). There are enough of those videos out there already. And there are some good ones.
For once, let's just enjoy what this sport is meant to produce. This is why we love football. This is why we love rivalries. This is why we love sports.
...GO BLUE!

In all seriousness though, this is more than most of us wish for. Most of us grow up dreaming of hitting the winning shot, scoring the winning touchdown, etc.
But how many of us want to actually, no, REALLY ACTUALLY want to, be in that position?
Mike Hart is 19 years old, and he has the weight of the entire sports world on his shoulders.
I remember when I was 19 and my Spanish 002 class was enough to do me in.
Remember, these are very young men who are asked to be the most important figures in our lives for at least a day. Could YOU handle that? Hell no, you could not.
This game is Super Bowl huge, yet some of the players involved are barely old enough to buy cigarettes.
So let's put the pressure of millions (billions?) of sports fans on these kids. Let's make it the biggest game of the year, and the biggest game of the most storied rivalry in sports. Oh, what the hell, let's top it off with the death of a historic figure.
I am pretty damn close to climaxing over this game. Everything that is "sport" will be in this game, and no matter who comes out on top, we will remember it as a historic moment in sports history.
But of course...Go Blue!
When I was 19, I once slept on the lawn of our dorm. And that was probably one of my better moments.
The only way this game could be "bigger" is if David Terrel were still there.
Count it.
Btw, I think we can safely assume that yesterday will go down as a "historic day in sports history."
