After a win over Duke, I'd say they're Bermanism-worthy
>> Wednesday
Wrong sport for it, but I'm easily amused. Compliments of Matt Bechtel:
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze"mane Barro
Actually, the play on the first name escapes the traditional Bermanism formula. I say we coin these "Bechtelisms" instead.
For the traditional-style Bermanism, might I suggest Ousmane "Roll out the" Barro?

You also know Marquette has hit the big time when they've earned their own broadcaster cliches. Dan Schulman at one point referred to Marquette as playing "Tom Crean basketball." There may have even been a "classic" before that phrase, but I'm not certain.
Also, is it just me, or was Vitale in rare form tonight, even by his standards? I honestly don't think he can retain a topic for more than twenty seconds at a time. Oh, and he thinks Jeter deserved the MVP, for what that's worth. (Answer: absolutely nothing.)
Vitale was more excited about Marquette than Duke.
Any school that can provoke that reaction deserves recognition.
Also, from ESPN.com: "They probably wouldn't have been possible if not for James, Marquette's GRITTY sophomore guard." (emphasis added)
...love it.
Also classic last night was Steve "The Homer" True on one play saying, "McNeal steals it! A McSteal! McDrive! McShot! McBasket!" Then went on to repeat the clever play on words he had just said.
Other possible future groanable Bermanisms, so prepare yourself now.
Lazar "Carry on my" Hayward "Son"
David "Rubik's" Cubillan
Not done yet:
Jamil "Meet me in the parking" Lott and Dan "Wreck of the Edmund" Fitzgerald
We have a winner, loving the Gordon Lightfoot reference.
