Breaking News: Giants' All-Star Outfielder Hits Historic Home Run
>> Tuesday
SAN FRANCISCO--San Francisco Giants right fielder and 2002 All Star Randy Winn made history tonight with a seventh inning home run off of Chicago Cubs reliever Scott Eyre.
The home run, Winn's second on the year and 71st in his career, tied him with former Yankee superstar and "Murderer's Row" mainstay Earle "The Kentucky Colonel" Combs for 473rd on the all time career home run list.
After Winn reached home plate, game play was temporarily halted to allow Winn to attend to an untied shoelace.
