I'm both impressed and confused

Falling more into the "completely random" category rather than any sport, the above video taken this weekend is of UC-Santa Barbara students taking down the goalposts and carrying them for a victory lap around campus before throwing them into the Pacific Ocean. Except...
They were the soccer goalposts for the Gauchos' victory in the 2006 NCAA College Cup
And the game itself was played in St. Louis, Missouri... 1,914 miles away. Each possibility makes less sense than the last. So this is either a group of people who
A) weren't actually at the game
B) were at the game and took down the goalposts a day later, at a different site, almost 2,000 miles away
or C) were at the game, took down the goalposts and brought them all the way back to UCSB.
Ah, college days.
