Taps for Salukis

With tonight's loss to Northern Iowa in MVC tourney, Southern Illinois's impressive streak of seven straight trips to the NCAA Tournament has likely come to an end. While they boost impressive wins over Mississippi State, Drake and St. Mary's, their now six losses including tonight to teams outside the top 100 has likely relegated them to the NIT or CBI.

However, I look for their NCAA tourney streak to resume next season with the arrival of an excellent recruiting class led by top 100 forward Anthony Booker and the return of heady point guard Bryan Mullins.
