Congratulations to our boy Steve Novak, who was featured on the front page of ESPN.com for some reason after Houston's 19th straight win. We may bitch incessently about ESPN's half-brained media coverage designed for the masses, it is still the measure of "making it big" in sports. So, uh, way to go Steve. Apparantly going 3-4 from behind the arc and scoring 11 total points has made you the new face of the Houston Rockets.

On a side note, Houston's winning streak is yet another example of how important every game is in the regular season, because it shows that there is tremendous pressure on teams to win every night.
While a couple losses, or a couple weeks of .500 ball, can send you plumetting in the standings (like it has done to Phoenix and New Orleans) a 19-game winning streak gets you...third place. And it's not like Houston came storming out of the cellar. When the streak began, they were already seeded seventh in the West: 19 straight wins allowed them to climb four spots.
That's fucking insane.
About time Houston played my guy, although sitting on the bench making 500k+ is not the worst thing in the world.
He's shooting almost 50% from 3-pt range this year. Play him more!
