Nathan, 11:49 AM: Neither was John Madden. Instead of his usual bowing to Favre, Madden said that he could not think of a "second-best team" in the NFC, after the Cowboys dismantled the Bears. He even downplayed the Packers when they were mentioned by Michaels.

Unknown, 12:55 PM: John Madden's new guy is Jamal Williams, the NT for the Chargers. Seriously, listen to Madden when the Chargers are on SNF, he's ridiculously lustful after Williams, even though it's not to previous Favre-like proportions.

Wonder if the fact that the Pack don't have no Sunday Night games this year had anything to do with that...maybe not, but God only knows in the world of network sports.
Unknown, 2:04 PM: Forget the second best team in NFC talk (I'll very begrudgingly concede that to the Pack for now), who the hell would be the 3rd best NFC team be? Would it be too late for the AFC to export 3-4 teams to the NFC like the Bengals who will clearly miss AFC playoffs but could be a solid playoff team in the NFC.
Unknown, 7:26 PM: Oh, no kidding. It's pretty absurd the way that there's no way that any NFC team would beat the Patriots, but is there an NFC team that could beat Indy? Pittsburgh? Even teams like Cincy and San Diego (despite looking ugly right now) would be pretty good NFC teams. The disparity is ridiculous. The AFC Championship this yer is, without a doubt, the Super Bowl. Hopefully that will at least be a good game.
