Wow, these are just wrong, wrong wrong. I don't even know where to start. Horrible.
In fairness to Zuch, predictions are sort of inherently wrong by virtue of being predictions.
Well, I broke out one of my football mags with every team's schedule, and went game-by-game for each team. I'm sure that there will be more parity than I have predicted, but by going on how I think things should happen, we got four 13 win teams, a few others with 12, and a helluva lot of shit teams.
Now, as far as the Pack goes, I had them as a 6 win team before looking at their schedule. Man though, they have a really tough schedule because of the late season surge last year. I think they are a better team than their record will indicate this year, but worse than the 8-8 record from last year would indicate. The same holds true for Tennessee in the AFC.
Of course, there is no homerism going on here.
Chicago in the Super Bowl and Zuch's man crush (not to mention his #1 fantasy player) winning the MVP?
Rose-colored glasses and all the Kool-Aid in the world can't explain these predictions.
The only team on par talent wise with the Bears in the NFC would be Dallas. Since Chicago plays in an easier division and will likely get home field throughout the playoffs, they have the edge in the NFC.
Honestly, I think Chad Johnson (I know, another one of my favorites) will deserve the MVP honors after the season as I think he has an absolute monster campaign with 1,500+ yards and double digit TD's. However, receivers never get the honors, and since Palmer would be the benefactor of Ocho Cinco going off, he's my pick for MVP/Offensive Player of the Year honors. Considering that Palmer has thrown for nearly 8,000 yards and 60 TD's the last two years, it's not exactly a stretch that he can win such high honors.
