The Red Sox had the Curse of the Babe....Now the Cubs have the Curse of T. Walk
>> Sunday
Only days after the Rev. Johnnie B. and Jim Hendry sent
Todd Walker packing to the West coast, T. Walk made the
# 4 play on Sportscenter's Top Ten for the week. Walk made
a fantastic pick at third (don't ask why he is playing third) and
then on the seat of his pants, made a fantastic throw to first
in time to nab the runner.
Cub Nation will rue the day T. Walk was traded.
In the words of Vinnie Bergl: I hate you Jim Hendry!!!

Wow. This makes my Wood-Maddux comparison look downright rational.
First of all, a week is not enough to make a statement of a "curse." With one week being a good enough sample size, I could just as easily say that the Cubs have won more games than lost without Walker (4-3 since July 31).
And while my comparison used stats and evidence, yours uses the relatively newly-adopted statistic "curses." One of the curses you listed was proven to be limited in its mystical nature (see 2004), and the other one is being made up on the basis of play over a week.
Oh yea, and Babe Ruth's OPS in the year before he was sold to the Yankees was 1.113. T-Walk's was .829 (2005) and .742 (2006).
I believe that's '93 Topps if I'm not mistaken.
Sometimes it's not so clear to tell...
When is Irish fest?
Yes! I can only imagine who it is, as I have many.
Doug Decenso? Chico Walker? Mike Harkey? Hector Villanueva? Les Lancaster? Paul Assenmacher?...oh, I could go on forever...
