We're Getting the Olympics
>> Wednesday
Upon Barack Obama's election, one of my first thoughts was "Well, there's no way Chicago isn't getting the Olympics now."
Seems the head of the Japanese Olympic Committee agrees with me.
Tokyo, Chicago, Rio de Janiero, and Madrid are the finalists. The selection of the 2016 host city occurs in 11 months.

Hooray, traffic nightmares! I look forward to "Bill Swerski, Olympic Mascot."
Also - seems like ESPN agrees with you, too:

Also - for the record, the "we" in "we're getting the Olympics" in this case includes the author, a kid from the suburbs that lives in St. Louis.
I miss Uno.

Hey, part of the Chicago bid is based in the suburbs.
Olympic football preliminaries are also going to be held in Madison, Minneapolis, and South Bend if I remember correctly.
Sorry, Stephen. My fifteen minutes are up.
I'm keeping the faith. If I wait long enough, maybe this blog will reward its most loyal readers with the return of that dog we all know and love.
