Thank God for ESPN's infinitely wise insight
>> Thursday
It's 3AM (Milwaukee/Chicago time, the only time that matters) and the headline story on ESPN.com is Pat Forde's Worst/Best case scenarios for every team in the Big Dance.
Oh yeah, that's nice, a clever little ploy by ESPN to bring some freshness to a vastly over-covered sporting event. But, oh wait, it's the same ploy they had this morning...and this afternoon. Now maybe they have switched it up throughout the day (I'm assuming they at least put mention in for the Suns/Mavs game), but is this really the story you want to represent ESPN going into the tourney?
This. Shit. Is. HORRIBLE! Best case scenario for (insert no. 1-4 seed here): win the championship. Worst case scenario for (insert no. 1-16 seed here): lose in the first round.
Or even more accurately: Best case scenario for (insert ANY seed here): achievements outweigh public expectations. Worst case scenario for (insert ANY seed here): achievements do not reach public expectations.
I think I speak for YCS when I say that ESPN's publicity stunts have always been repulsive...but this? Jesus, Mary and Joseph...I am so glad that this piece was contributed to public discussion. Without it, we would be lost. I would have no measuring stick for how bad Bill Self fucked up this year.

What would be more interesting would be the average.
Average case scenarios I would imagine would be harder to compute, given the lack of winning a National Championship or losing in the first round to tip the scales.
Wait.....no it wouldn't be more interesting.
You suck!
