Ten years is usually right about when the nostalgia hits. Wait til you get to fifteen. It's ugly.
I have been able to keep that savory taste of victory fresh on my tongue for a long time. Then here comes a bitter glass of "It was a whole freakin' decade ago" to wash it away.
No kidding. And you can look forward to that awesome bitter taste of "we've done nothing for ten years" every Sunday when you look at those God Damn patches on the players' shoulders.
I'm seriously getting tired of teams that use any excuse to slap a patch on every other season.
The worst was when the Bears released a 20th anniversary of Super Bowl XX logo last season. It made me sit back and think "Wow, there's more time from the Bears' last Super Bowl appearance to now as there was time between the AFL-NFL merger and the Bears' first Super Bowl appearance."
